Yes it snowed. Yes it snowed in my yard too.
I had prayed asked God to hold off on the snow until I got my leaves raked and bagged.
God said no.
What do we do when our prayer isn’t answered or we get a no? Does the almighty God have our trust? Can he say no to us and we still believe in him? If he were a genie he would be a bad genie but if he is our Father God and he is a good father (and he is) Good father’s say no when it’s appropriate, even if it’s unpopular.
I am okay with God’s snow. I trust him in this. Do I trust other no’s that I getting Him? Sometimes it makes me angry, sometimes I feel hurt but I’m learning to trust that he knows best.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord , “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
Jeremiah 29:11-14
My Father God has a plan for me. Sometimes what I want for myself is either not fitting the plan or not good for me at that time. I am learning to trust God’s plan for me. I can still ask and he will answer, sometimes it’s no, sometimes it’s wait, and sometimes it’s yes.

destruction.

are stuck in the hurt/anger/sin/shame cycle too, let us both jump off of this not-so-merry-go-round and ask forgiveness and also be forgiven. I also want to go back up the path of my life and see where I can begin to apply God’s word in my life so I can avoid this Nauseating cycle.
