It’s not hypothetical. (Am I using that word correctly?)
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28
It was 53 years ago today, December 1st 1968, I was eight years old. It was probably around this time of day, maybe a little later, it was dark. Fifty three years ago I was burned. My face and right hand would never be the same. But God used even this horrible thing, especially this horrible thing to preserve me and lead me into a relationship with the most perfect woman to share my life with.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28
These words more than any other in the Bible show me, remind me, that God loves me and will use even the worst things in my life, the worst things in our lives, for our good. Why? Because of two things. One, He loves us. Two, he is a good father, and a third thing, he doesn’t waste anything.
He uses all things for our good when we love him, even our scars.
