Pause for prayer

I’m going to be taking a break.

I don’t know how long it will be.

Everything I’ve written is still here.

More importantly, all of God’s word is still there to read, to grab onto and cling to. The Bible is the lighthouse in this stormy life, it is the fog horn. It is the GPS and shows us the way back to God our father through his only son Jesus.

I encourage anyone who reads this to add time to your day, set your alarm xx minutes ahead, rise up early, get your bible and begin reading it. Start in the Gospel of John. Read it. Read Paul’s letter to the Romans, read a psalm, read Isaiah. Read God’s message of love to us. All of these books in the Bible are written to us and for us by a God who loves us.

““For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”

John 3:16-17

Read God’s love letter to us.

May I ask you a favor? Will you please Pray for My wife Mary and I and our family? Thank you.

Thank you for reading my posts. May God bless and protect you. May your love for him become new and fresh and real and may you find new and fresh ways to share God’s love with those around you.

I am a man. I am an older man. I am a husband and a dad and a grandpa. I am a disciple of Jesus. Because I am a disciple of Jesus much of what I write is about him, and I usually end what I write with a question, do you the reader know that Jesus loves you? He does. He loves us all but he loves you specifically. He loves me specifically. What will you do with that information today?
